Mistletoe therapy for lymphoma

Mistletoe preparations are not approved for the treatment of this type of cancer. If therapy is undertaken, it is a off label use on the basis of an informed consent given by the patient under the responsibility of the treating physician. To date, there has been no systematic evaluation of mistletoe therapy for lymphoma. However, within the framework of Good Clinical Practice, which has been described for decades, there are a large number of publications and book contributions without peer review, as well as published individual case reports, in which supportive effects on quality of life, alleviation of therapy-related side effects and potential tumor efficacy have been described.
